LEGOLAND Florida Resort recently announced a new expansion – a LEGO pirate-themed accommodation! Pirate Island Hotel is set to open in Spring 2020.
Pirate Island Hotel will connect to the existing LEGOLAND® Hotel and be located next to Lake Eloise. It will be a total of 130 kid steps away from the main entrance of the theme park. This addition will increase the total number of onsite resort hotels to three.
Pirate Island Hotel will be 5-stories. It will also include a total of 150 rooms as well as a heated pool with a pool deck. It wouldn’t be a LEGO hotel without LEGO models which of course it will feature. There will even be a pirate ship in front of the hotel which will be perfect for family photos! Speaking of family, there will be a pirate-themed restaurant that is sure to be a great option for meals. For the young lads and lassies, there will be an entertainment area for kid-friendly nightly programming as well as LEGO play pits. For ye older seadogs, there will be a lobby bar for the adults to enjoy. In addition to all of that, numerous character experiences will be offered as well.
The rooms will be perfect for the kids as they will have their very own special side of the room. This separate area will feature their own TV, daily in-room LEGO treasure chests, LEGO pirate décor, treasure map headboards and boat-shaped bunkbeds in the suites.
Fans of LEGOLAND Florida Resort helped come up with this theme for the new resort so it is sure to be a hit! Out of all of the given choices, LEGO Pirate was the winner.
Per LEGOLAND Florida Resort Hotels Director, Kevin Carr, “Pirate Island Hotel will offer a completely unique guest experience for swashbucklers of all ages. Pirates have a long history tied to the state of Florida and we look forward to providing memorable experiences to our future guests with an entertaining, memorable and fun hotel. Whether it’s interacting with life-size LEGO characters in the lobby, uncovering LEGO bounty at the end of an in-room treasure hunt or soaking up the sun in our heated pool, Pirate Island Hotel will be the perfect place for families to make long-lasting memories.”
LEGOLAND Florida Resort has been busy with its additions lately. Pirate Island Hotel is just one of the planned expansions at this theme park. THE LEGO® MOVIETM WORLD expansion will be opening in spring 2019 while the new miniature golf course for guests of the hotels will be opening summer 2019.
