Walt Disney World’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is a fun way to enjoy the great outdoors while visiting Mickey Mouse. From charming trails to refreshing pools, Fort Wilderness will make nature lovers swoon!
Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground will have several special activities for all guests staying during the holiday season. On the nights of December 16th through the 23rd, there will be a Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:45 pm at the local gift shop, the Settlement.
Guests can also enjoy a plethora of events on Christmas Eve, December 24th, starting with the Reindeer 5K Run. Registration will take place at 6:30 am with the race starting at 7:30 am near the field next to Mickey’s Backyard BBQ.
Trot around with your adorable, four-legged friends at the Holiday Pet Parade, also on the 24th. The parade will take place on the Settlement Playground from 4:30-12:30 pm.
Show off your ride at the Golf Cart Parade from 3:30-4:30 pm on Christmas Eve. The carts will leave from the Hitch and Unhitch Area at Fort Wilderness and the winners will be announced during the Settlement Wonderland Party.
Adults and children alike can also meet Santa on the 24th from 5-9pm at the Settlement.
Also located at the Settlement, the Settlement Wonderland Party will be full of fun from 5-9pm. Guests can enjoy delicious food truck offerings, a special tree lighting ceremony at 5:45 pm, writing letters to Santa Claus, Christmas Carolers from 5-7pm, and a Movie Under the Wonderland Lights at 6:45 pm to finish off the night.
For an additional cost, guests can take place in holiday arts and crafts, or they can build a Gingerbread man with a Disney Chef!
To finish off the holiday season, Fort Wilderness will have a New Year’s Eve Beach Bash from 8pm-12:30 am on December 31st. Located at Clementine’s Beach, party-goers can nosh on offerings from the food trucks and ring in the new year.
