Now that we got that spoiler warning out of the way, lets dive into the latest episode of WandaVision!

New Episode Reveals When 'WandaVision' Takes Place in the MCU

Marvel Fans have been VERY curious about the placement of WandaVision in the MCU timeline. Now, thanks to Episode 4 of WandaVision, we were thrust into the “real world” and learned exactly when the series takes place. According to recounts in the episode, we learn that Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) was brought back thanks to The Hulk’s revision of Thanos’ Snap, being dubbed “The Blip” in the films and series.

Rambeau is brought back into the fold and returns to work at S.W.O.R.D. and is assigned the anomaly at Westview working alongside Agent Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) until she is absorbed into the energy field surrounding Westview. After Monica’s disappearance we see the introduction of Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) who is also assigned to the case and reviews the series “episodes” of the events taking place inside Westview.

There are many more questions left unanswered, and we don’t want to spoil the entire episode, but we do know that the events of WandaVision take place 3 weeks after the events of Avengers: Endgame in the year 2023, meaning the series takes place between Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home in the MCU timeline.

New Episode Reveals When 'WandaVision' Takes Place in the MCU

It is unclear, how WandaVision will affect future MCU titles, but clearly the series has minimal impact on the story featured in Spider-Man: Far From Home. The events of WandaVision will likely have a larger impact in the third Spider-Man movie, being dubbed ‘Homecoming 3‘ and the upcoming MCU film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
