Head down to Fort Wilderness for some family fun. Pick up a Fort Wilderness Scavenger Hunt Map and complete the questions to get a free prize.
Not all the answers can be so easily looked up online and that’s half the fun. You will have to do some looking around and ask some questions to complete this hunt. Many guests will be surprised when they see just how much Disney’s Fort Wilderness has to offer.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground’s Other Activities

Tri-Circle-D Ranch is home to Walt Disney Worlds 4 legged friends. Visit the ranch to see Cinderella’s Ponies that are used to pull her carriage. You may even spot the Headless Horseman’s black mare. Horses used to pull the trolly are usually on hand. Sarge, Sully, and Skye are usually hanging around munching on hay.
Inside Tri-Circle-D, you can even check out Walt Disney’s Calliope and read up on some equestrian Disney history.
Fort Wilderness Campground has a natural beauty that makes it, unlike any other Disney Resort.
Cabins, as well as campsites, are available for those that are not a fan of tent camping.
If you need some downtime or to slow down from the hecticness of the theme parks a day at the campground is perfect. To get started you will need to get into Fort Wilderness.
Guests are welcome to dine, shop, and enjoy the resort’s amenities all except for the pools. The pools are for resort guests only.
Parking and Entering Fort Wilderness Resort
Parking is limited so you will be turned away if you try to enter through the front gate. Your options are to make a mobile food order with P& J’s Southern Takeout, park at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Lodge and take the boat over, make a reservation for a recreational activity, or take the bus in from the parks.
You can even make a reservation for the fun and popular Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue. This 2-hour dinner show serves up all-you-can-eat BBQ ribs, cowboy beans, salad, cornbread, mac and cheese, and best of all strawberry shortcake.
Once inside take the internal bus over to the Bike Barn and grab your scavenger hunt map, then have fun!
Once you complete your map turn in it in over at the Meadows Trading Post to collect your Disney’s Fort Wilderness Railroad Pin.
Be on the lookout for deer, bunnies, and butterflies galore. It’s my family’s favorite place to take in the magic of Disney with the relaxing beauty of nature.
