It seems that’s not the only addition to the app. There is now a section called “Virtual Queues” which hints at the possibility of the virtual queue system being used in more areas than just Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Maybe it will be used for attractions in Avengers Campus?
The virtual queue system was first implemented with the opening of the newest attraction in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. It allows guests to join a “boarding group” which will let them enter the physical queue for the ride at a specific time. Guests don’t have to end up waiting hours in line to experience the attraction.
We don’t know for sure if the virtual queue system will be implemented in any future attractions but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was used in Avengers Campus.
