Construction Permit Filed for Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom
Disney has filed a new Notice of Commencement for general construction at Liberty Tree Tavern in Liberty Square. The permit lists Aim Strategic Group, LLC as the contractor and describes the project simply as “General Construction.” Because the filing comes through Disney’s Facility Asset Management team, the work is widely expected to be routine maintenance or infrastructure improvements rather than a major renovation or reimagining.

At this time, Disney has not announced any refurbishment or temporary closure for Liberty Tree Tavern, so guests with upcoming dining reservations should not expect any changes based on the permit alone.
Liberty Tree Tavern has long been a favorite for guests looking for a hearty, family-style meal in Magic Kingdom. The colonial-inspired restaurant serves its famous all-you-care-to-enjoy Patriot’s Platter, featuring roasted turkey, pot roast, smoked pork loin, mashed potatoes, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, seasonal vegetables, and the fan-favorite Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake for dessert. Plant-based options are also available.

The filing comes during a busy period of construction around this corner of Magic Kingdom. Just beyond Liberty Square, work continues on the future Piston Peak National Park expansion, the Cars-themed land that will extend Frontierland into an all-new adventure inspired by America’s national parks.
