New Avengers Helicarrier Named In Honor of Chadwick Boseman by Marvel. Marvel fans were shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Black Panther star, Chadwick Boseman in 2020. In honor of his memory Marvel Comics has introduced a new Avengers Helicarrier named after the late actor.
The new Helicarrier named: Wakanda Helicarrier Boseman, was featured in Jason Aaron’s Avengers #41 edition. Avengers #41 focuses heavily on Black Panther, along with several other Avengers.
Several other tributes have been dedicated to Chadwick Boseman since his passing including a mural at Downtown Disney in Anaheim, CA, a new play area with a Black Panther statue in the game Fortnite, and several comics series from Marvel and more.
Boseman stared in Marvel’s Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War & Avengers: Endgame movies. He passed away from multiple organ failure due to colon cancer on Friday August 28, 2020. He was only 43 years old. Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Associated Press at the time of his passing.
