How far would you go for a good cup of coffee? It’s looking like a few basketball players in the NBA bubble at Disney are asking that same question.
For starters, Jimmy Butler is running a coffee shop out of his hotel room on the Walt Disney World Resort. He’s jokingly charging his fellow basketball players $20 for a cup of coffee. Butler joked about this with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols on “The Jump” a while back, saying it was impossible to get a good cup on the NBA restart campus, so he was taking matters into his own hands. So he originally started this as a gag before obtained enough coffee for his friends and teammates. It turns out he was not kidding. Teammate Myers Leonard outed him on social media.
So apparently Jimmy Butler wasn't kidding about the up-charge for the use of his French Press at Disney. (From Meyers Leonard's Twitter): pic.twitter.com/1s1em6flRG

Butler’s agent confirmed all this and joked about trying to get quality coffee beans through the quarantine.
Why $20 a cup? Supply and demand. It’s that simple. If there’s a demand for gourmet coffee on the NBA restart campus and he can provide one, then Butler can charge whatever the other players will pay. Apparently he thinks that’s $20 a cup — regardless of size. So far it’s looking like other NBA players are enjoying the coffee Jimmy Butler is providing to them!
