‘National Treasure’ is Leaving Netflix and Headed to Disney+

‘National Treasure’ is Leaving Netflix and Headed to Disney+. As National Treasure’s contract runs out with Netflix we will shortly get to see the hit film streaming on Disney+ very soon! Currently, the films sequel, National Treasure 2, is available on the popular Disney streaming service, but the original film will be added to the Disney+ roster on April 30th.

“Historian and code-breaker Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage) has been searching his whole life for a rumored treasure dating back to the creation of the United States. Joining an expedition led by fellow treasure hunter Ian Howe (Sean Bean), Gates finds an ice-locked Colonial ship in the Arctic Circle that contains a clue linking the treasure to the Declaration of Independence. But when Howe betrays him, Gates has to race to get to the document ahead of his so-called colleague.”

National Treasure was such a hit in theaters the film led to a sequel and appears to be working towards becoming a trilogy with news of production swirling earlier this year. It is currently unknown when National Treasure 3 will be released and if it will recieve a theatrical release or exclusively premiere on Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.

National Treasure will be available to stream on Netflix until April 29th.

We can’t wait to stream National Treasure on Disney+ at the end of April, and are even more excited by the news of a third film in the works! What sort of adventure do you think the gang will go on this time? Will they stay in America, or travel internationally once more? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
