Moon Knight’s Director confirms ‘WandaVision’ will not get a Second Season

The first season of WandaVision is hit among both fans and critics alike. Almost all of its main cast members are set to continue their character journeys in other projects. Now, thanks to the MCU’s newest director, it’s been confirmed that this series was always intended to be a single season for Marvel Studios.

Even though other Marvel shows like Loki and What If are confirmed for a second season, there’s no chance for WandaVision to get another season. Diab told SFX Magazine that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is packed with stories and series, but some don’t get second seasons.

“It’s like a crazy world. Even with the successful shows, like ‘WandaVision,’ they’re not doing Season 2. She jumped into a film, maybe she’s going to come back or not. I don’t know. And that’s exciting.”

The Scarlet Witch actress might be playing a bigger part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s been reported that Elizabeth Olsen has just signed a huge new contract extension with Marvel Studios which will see her be part of the MCU for the next 7 years.

There’s no denying that Wanda Maximoff has become one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s major players over the last couple of years. Naturally, a lot of fans are delighted by it.

As for Elizabeth’s future in the billion-dollar franchise, the idea of her finally getting her own standalone film doesn’t seem too farfetched to believe especially now that Scarlet Witch is one of the MCU’s hottest commodities.

We’ll have to wait and see how what the future holds for the Scarlet Witch after the events of WandaVision.
