Moana Meet and Greet Sails into Disney’s Animal Kingdom 25th Anniversary. Just in time for the 25th Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Moana, from the hit Walt Disney Animation Studios film, will greet fellow voyagers on Discovery Island for the first time, starting April 22.
Today cast members of Disney got a special opportunity to be the first ones to meet Moana at her new location in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Moana of Motunui will be meeting guests starting tomorrow. She is located on Discovery Island next to the bathrooms prior to Dino Land, at Character Landing.
Let’s take a look at the new meet and greet area. the walls have characters from the Moana movie including Hei Hei and Pua, along with images of the islands with a true Polynesian feel.

Mickey, Minnie and Scrooge McDuck are just some of the Disney Characters to be found on flotillas along the Discovery River in Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Plus, from April 16 through 23, there will be unique Character appearances on the Discovery River Character Cruise—so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for these and additional Character experiences and sightings.
You also won’t want to miss a very special moment in front of the Tree of Life on April 22, honoring Earth Day and the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.
