Moana Journey of Water Construction Update for May 2023. Explore the wonders of water along an interactive trail that’s fun for all ages—based on the Disney animated film Moana.
We got to ride the Disney Monorail around Epcot recently and brought back some images to share and an update. Journey of Water looks almost complete besides some residual work being done. Disney recently installed directional signs around the attraction. They also appear to have installed signage that may be for plaques that describe what you are looking at.

The new attraction will give guests the opportunity to playfully interact with water, just as its inspiration, Moana did. A live-action “Moana” film is in development from Walt Disney Studios, with Dwayne Johnson reprising his role of Maui.
We are so excited to continue sharing this beloved story. With new experiences in World Nature, World Discovery and World Showcase neighborhoods of EPCOT, and great progress being made in World Celebration, we are excited to be one step closer to the completion of our multi-year transformation of EPCOT.
