Michael Douglas is Gearing Up to Film ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’. As the filming industry begins to reopen studios to prepare for upcoming projects we are now seeing cast and crew members sharing excitement to return to work. One such cast member is Michael Douglas who shared he is getting ready to return as Hank Pym for Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Douglas shared the news via Instagram along with the caption, “Time to grow the goatee…Hank Pym is back! Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania coming in 2022!”
Douglas has been featured in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films, but this time we will get to see him navigate the return of Hank Pym’s long lost wife, Janet Van Dyne as they unravel her travels in the Quantum Realm. Not much else is known about the film at this time, but we do know that Jonathan Majors is joining the cast inn the iconic role of Marvel Villain Kang the Conqueror. We also know the role of Cassie Lang was re-cast and now Kathryn Newton will be replacing Abby Ryder Fortson as Cassie Lang, Scott Lang’s daughter in the MCU. Likely, this means Cassie will be playing a bigger role than intended in the MCU.
Peyton Reed is set to return as the director for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania to complete the trilogy. Both Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are set to reprise their rolls as Scott Lang (Ant-Man) and Hope Van Dyne (The Wasp). Also returning for the film is Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Michelle Pfeiffer (Janet Van Dyne), and Michael Peña (Luis). Writer and co-producer Jeff Loveness has been chosen by Marvel to pen a script for the third installment in the Ant-Man franchise.
We can’t wait to learn more about this sequel and how it will affect the future of the MCU. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Marvel!
