Michael B. Jordan Returns in Marvel Studios' 'Black Panther 2'

Michael B. Jordan Returns in Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther II‘. After the unexpected and sudden passing of Chadwick Boseman many Marvel Fans wondered how Marvel Studios would move forward with the highly anticipated Black Panther II.

Marvel Studios has announced they will not use a CGI replacement or recast the role of T’Challa from Chadwick Boseman sharing, “Black Panther 2, opening on July 8, 2022, is being written and directed by Ryan Coogler. Honoring Chadwick Boseman’s legacy and portrayal of T’Challa, the Black Panther, Marvel Studios will not recast the character, but will continue to explore the incomparable world of Wakanda and all of the rich and varied characters introduced in the first film.”

There are several theories of how the story will progress without T’Challa, with claims of using archived footage of Boseman from other Marvel films to having T’Challa pass away off screen in a similar manner to Boseman himself, but an interesting new development has Marvel fans asking, “How?”

Recently, it was shared that Michael B. Jordan is expected to return for Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther II in the role of Erik Stevens, aka Killmonger. Many fans believe the shenanigans taking place in WandaVision, Homecoming 3, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness may be the key to the progression for the Black Panther stories to come. A leading theory is that we will enter a world where Erik Stevens was raised properly in Wakanda and ascends to the role of Black Panther after the untimely death of T’Challa. Another theory is that T’Challa’s sister Shuri will take the mantle from her brother and become the leader of Wakanda in their new age. An additional theory suggests T’Challa did not let Erik die as he wished, but instead moved to have Killmonger healed and rehabilitate after the events of Black Panther.
