Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has revealed the MCU timeline and story details of Marvel’s highly-anticipated Secret Invasion television series.
According to the Marvel President, the upcoming show will feature “during the Blip, when half of the Universe was decimated by Thanos, and will explore the events that happened in that period.“
The show is set to feature the Skrulls, who’ve managed to use their shape-shifting powers to infiltrate Earth over years. But the series will also spotlight Fury in a starring role, and Jackson teases that the show will dive deeper into Fury’s past and future.
“There are things that even I really didn’t know about Nick Fury that I just found out,” Jackson says. “The minds behind what happened during the Blip are fantastic. That’s part of what we’re uncovering when we do this series now.”
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Samuel Jackson added that he’s enjoyed showing different sides of his irascible agent.
A release date for Secret Invasion has yet to be announced, but it’s one of the many Disney+ shows that Marvel has in the works.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced Secret Invasion during 2020’s Walt Disney Investor Day event as part of the MCU’s upcoming Disney+ lineup. The show will be based on the popular Marvel comic event and will focus on “a sect of Skrulls who have infiltrated every level of life on Earth.” Already confirmed to appear in the show are Jackson, reprising his long-time role as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn, reprising his role as the Skrull Talos from Captain Marvel, and Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, whose character has not yet been revealed.
