Wow!  Are you full yet? I feel like my stomach is going to burst from all these dining posts I’ve been writing.  Can you tell what I look forward to during our Disney vacations?  That’s right…eating!  Since our family chooses the Quick Service Dining plan, I try to research and recall the restaurants that fall into that category.  That way, I can make sure that we are trying new foods, getting some variety, and using our dining credits wisely.  Today’s write up is Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Pizzafari – Pizza (of course), breadsticks, and salad are some of the yummies you’ll find here.  My kids, actually all of us, love pizza.  So, this is a “must stop” while at Animal Kingdom.  Their Antipasto Salad is also really good.  This is located in the Discovery Island area of Animal Kingdom.  One fun thing about this counter service location is the themed rooms.  The Upside Down Room, Camouflage Room, and Bug Room are super fun!

Flame Tree Barbecue – Another counter service location on Disney property where you can enjoy BBQ chicken, spare ribs, and pork.  My husband and I like the spareribs/chicken combo.  It’s plenty of food for the two of us, and stretches those meal credits a little bit!  Our kids like chicken drumsticks, and we can find them here at the Flame Tree BBQ.

Restaurantosaurus – Did your little one work up an appetite at the Boneyard?  Or perhaps you are needing some comfort food from playing the carnival games in DinoLand.  Then, come check out Restauranosaurus.  This is one of the few restaurants on property where you can find a Shrimp Po Boy sandwich.  Also, simple dishes like the Dig Site Salad might be just enough to hold you over until dinner.

Yak and Yeti – An Asian inspired menu can give you some variety to your eating while on vacation.  Sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, chicken lo mein….amongst other great dishes can be found here.  The Mandarin Chicken Salad is especially good here, too.

All over Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you’ll find carts and kiosks with snacks, drinks, and traditional American foods.  These are just some of the counter service options that can help you add some fun to your counter service dining.

Can you think of something you really look forward to eating at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park?

Magically Yours,
