Magicbands+ works flawlessly with Spaceship Earth Beacon of Magic Show. After playing with the newly released Magicband+ for the past few months and seeing how it progressed and got better over time, we had our concerns about how they would work with Disney Night-Time spectaculars.
Disney has previously told us about the Disney Fab 50 Quest, Batuu Bounty Hunters Guild Quest, and that it would work with Harmonious in Epcot, and also Disney’s Enchantment at the Magic Kingdom. They did not reveal everything though. We got a great surprise when we were watching the Beacons of Magic Spaceship Earth and the new Magicband+ worked perfectly!

Spaceship Earth Beacon of Magic Show
The new Magicband+ works during the Beacon of Magic SSE show, and then again during the new Beauty and the Beast show that is happening during Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival.
Yes, holding your arm up during the whole show is not ideal, we did it so we could see it one time. We don’t expect others will want to miss out on the actual show that happens on Spaceship Earth, but what we found is seeing others wearing the bands in front of us just added an extra dimension to the show.
We will reiterate the fact that we have spoken about a few times, the nighttime shows are not that great when only 1 person has a band on, but when there are a few thousand others around all with Magicband+ on their wrists, it is cool as heck!
We will give Disney all the credit for how it works with SSE and the Beacons. Check out the video above.
