Last month, it was announced that Made With Magic items would be changing the face and feeling of “Glow with the Show” events like Fantasmic!, and Wishes. While we have seen glowing ear hats at Walt Disney World for a short time and at Disneyland for a little longer, now there are even more options, as the Made With Magic items are for sale at Disney Parks.
These items are already in use at Disneyland for Fantasmic. Currently available items include: the Disney ear hat with glowing ears, a Minnie Mouse headband with light-up bow, and a Sorcerer Mickey wand with glowing hand and wand. Still to come is the light-up Mickey Mouse glove. Each Made With Magic item has a retail of $25.00 (includes tax).
Imagine the fun at Fantasmic, or Wishes, when all these Made With Magic items light up and change color with the show! The Sorcerer Mickey wand will allow you to not only change its color pattern but to change the colors and patterns of other Made With Magic items. The wands have a button that looks like an artist’s pallet. As it is pressed, it goes through the various color change patterns and speeds. When you’ve found the pattern you like best, you can change other items. It’s possible in the stores to change whole displays of items with just a single wand!
You’ll find Made With Magic items in select merchandise locations at Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World and at several shops at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. I’m looking forward to seeing the items in action! I already have an ear hat, I think my next choice will be a Minnie Mouse headband – though the power of the Sorcerer Mickey wand is tempting!
