Lizzie McGuire’s Hilary Duff Shares Pregnancy Announcement with Fans. The family is growing! Hilary Duff announces her and husband Matthew Koma are expecting again! It is currently unknown when Duff is due or if it’s a boy or a girl, but we do know that this baby is deeply loved already and fans are excited for the happy couple. Duff shared the news in a Boomerang video via Instagram along with the caption, “We are growing!!! Mostly me …”

Hilary Duff was set to return as Lizzie McGuire in a revival series following Lizzie navigating her 30’s while balancing work, friends, and family life, but the series is currently in limbo over creative differences between Disney, Duff, and series show runner Terri Minsky. Duff has been fairly vocal about the challenges her and Terri Minsky faced when wanting to explore Lizzie’s 30’s. The debate became so great that Minsky is currently separated from the project siting “creative differences” for the reason of her departure, but fans are hopeful that Terri will return once an agreement can be made.

Hilary has admitted the pandemic is awarding her plenty of time to reconnect with her fellow castmates such as Holly Hobble who played her mother, Jo McGuire, and Jake Thomas who played Lizzie’s “annoying” little brother, Matt McGuire. Currently, production for the series is paused as Duff and Disney negotiate the future of the series, but one thing is clear, both the cast and Disney are dedicated to seeing the reboot come to fruition and are willing to discuss the “how” aspect of the series.
