A recent LEGO announcement may offer some clues about The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special!
Thanks to the LEGO Instructions App, a newly revealed advent calender for the Disney+ special shows off the gang getting ready for the Holidays.
The LEGO set gives Marvel Cinematic Universe fans a look at pieces such as Groot decorated like a Christmas tree, a return of the Collector, and Peter Quill/Star-Lord riding what appears to be Santa’s sled. We also see Rocket cooking dinner and Mantis grabbing a drink. Seeing this LEGO advent calendar has us even more excited for the MCU special!

Director James Gunn is feeling proud of his upcoming special.
“The holiday special is the greatest thing I’ve ever done in my life,” Gunn said. “It’s totally ridiculous, and every day we can’t believe that we’re making it. We all completely love it. It is unlike anything that anyone’s ever seen before. I can’t wait for people to see it.”
Janes Gunn continues to be cryptic about plot details, but he has dropped a few hints on what to expect in the Holiday Special.
First, the Disney+ special is reportedly going to have runtime under 40 minutes. The events of the special take place between Thor: Love and Thunder and the upcoming third movie.
Furthermore, the Holiday Special will introduce more than one established Marvel Comics character into the MCU. It’ll be interesting to see what characters will be introduced in live action!
We can’t wait to see the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special when it comes to Disney+ later this year!
