Any stroll around the World Showcase in Epcot deserves some snacks to fuel the walk. The only question is where to buy them? From France’s Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie to Italy’s Pizza Al Taglio, there are a lot of great options. High on the list, there’s Norway’s Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, which has unfortunately remained closed due to Coronavirus. Until now, that is!
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is now officially open to serve guests. Although the hours are limited, as well as the menu, customers are certain to enjoy grabbing some of their old favorites! As of today, School Bread, Norwegian Kringla (both Almond and Chocolate varieties), and Lefse are available to purchase.
Social distancing markers have been put in place, chairs have been removed to keep certain tables off-limits, and self-serve cutlery and napkins have been removed. There are no more grab-and-go drinks, but bottled water can still be purchased. Other drinks available behind the counter include coffee beverages, Coca-Cola products, Nordic Draft beer, and Viking Coffee, which has Bailey’s Irish Cream and Kamora Coffee Liqueur.
Before the shutdown, Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe was also known to serve Troll Horns, Berry Cream Puffs, Anna’s Birthday Cupcake, Cinnamon Pretzels, seasonal treats, and more. It has been a hugely popular spot, especially for fans of School Bread, of which there are many!
Hopefully, other menu items will be soon to reappear, but until then, guests are happy to see the return of this Epcot staple.
