Walt Disney World President Josh D’Amaro recently paid a visit to Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Josh D’Amaro shared his experience on Instagram. He spoke to Cast Members at Kidani Village and posted photos of the Disney resort. It’s there that a Cast Member explained the background of the interior design of the resort lobby.
There is a legend associated with the lanterns seen in the entrance of Kidani Village. Remote African villages often relied upon lanterns to protect the household or person carrying them through the dark. The light helped them find their way home in the dark, so they felt appreciative of the lanterns. A lot of detail goes into the design and architecture at Walt Disney World. These planned designs serve as a form of visual story-telling.
Josh also visited the Animal Programs Cast Members and shared photos of their wildlife in the savanna. The animal care team at Disney is still busy making sure the wildlife receives proper treatment.
It’s a nice break from reality to see the wildlife at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It’s been weeks since anyone has seen the animals at Disney due to the temporary closure. We look forward to seeing them again!
