The enchanting art style of the “Tapestry of Happiness” projection show, a nightly highlight of the Disneyland 70th Celebration, draws inspiration from the iconic work of Mary Blair, the visionary Disney artist behind “it’s a small world.” This captivating show serves as a “visual love letter to 70 years of unforgettable Disneyland experiences,” celebrating cherished attractions, timeless moments, and the enduring spirit of the Happiest Place on Earth.
The “Tapestry of Happiness” projection show at Disneyland begins by showcasing the iconic Mickey-shaped planter at the park’s entrance. The “it’s a small world” facade then comes alive with ascending Mickey balloons before visually transitioning into Sleeping Beauty Castle. Throughout this nightly spectacle, guests will enjoy numerous charming references to “it’s a small world,” and in a delightful nod to the past, a segment of the Main Street Electrical Parade is also brought to life through projection.

The “Tapestry of Happiness” projection show continues to showcase more of Main Street, U.S.A., including familiar facades like the Penny Arcade and Crystal Arts. Classic Disneyland attractions, such as Pirates of the Caribbean, are also highlighted. Of course, a Disneyland celebration wouldn’t be complete without a nod to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, and a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Sherman Brothers is also woven into the display.
Adding to the magic, Sorcerer Mickey from “Fantasmic!” makes a special appearance, while Kylo Ren and his First Order Troopers represent the more recent addition of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The retro Disneyland marquee is beautifully framed by shimmering pixie dust, and monorails in both vintage and current fleet colors zoom across the facade.

The show revisits Sleeping Beauty Castle with an appearance by Mickey, then returns to “it’s a small world” before transforming back into the castle. The golden Partners Statue of Walt and Mickey is then projected onto Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The enchanting “Tapestry of Happiness” projection show, officially premiering today, May 16th, features the upbeat Disneyland 70th Celebration theme song, “Celebrate Happy,” performed by the Jonas Brothers. The soundtrack also incorporates fresh recordings of beloved and recognizable Disneyland melodies, adding a vibrant auditory layer to the visual spectacle.
Guests can experience the debut of “Tapestry of Happiness” tonight and throughout the celebration at 9:50 p.m., 10:20 p.m., 11:30 p.m., and 11:45 p.m. nightly.
