#IStandWithGinaCarano Trending on Twitter in Support of ‘The Mandalorian’s Gina Carano. In case you didn’t know, The Mandalorian star Gina Carano has been in hot water with folks on the internet after sharing her personal views on masking up and other hot button issues these days with many calling for her firing from Star Wars The Mandalorian, but Carano has also seen plenty of support from friends and fans alike.
Her co-star, Pedro Pascal, shared a supportive post of their characters embraced in a hug which also sparked a bit of controversy among fans. Over the holiday season, the hashtag “#FireGinaCarano” was trending online as well, but has been matched lately with the new hashtag #IStandWithGinaCarano. Though many fans don’t agree with Carano’s stance on current events, some are struggling with the debate of separating the actors from her character.
The lengthy debate was rekindled by the rumor that Gina Carano is reportedly set to star in one of The Mandalorian spin-off series, with big indicators that she will help lead the Rangers of the New Republic series coming to Disney+.
