Hosts Tom Bergeron & Erin Andrews Leaving ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. After 28 seasons of hosting, Tom Bergeron has announced he is leaving Dancing With The Stars on ABC, as well as co-host Erin Andrews who joined Bergeron on DWTS in Season 18.
Bergeron shared the news via Twitter, stating: “Just informed @DancingABC will be continuing without me. It’s been an incredible 15 year run and the most unexpected gift of my career. I’m grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?”
Erin Andrews has yet to make an announcement at the time of writing, but ABC shared the news that the co-host would also not be returning to the ballroom in the next season in a statement, sharing: “Tom Bergeron will forever be part of the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ family. As we embark on a new creative direction, he departs the show with our sincerest thanks and gratitude for his trademark wit and charm that helped make this show a success. Erin will also not be returning, and we appreciate all that she brought to the ballroom. Fans have been rooting for her since she originally competed as a contestant back in 2010, and her signature sense of humor has become a hallmark of the show.”
We wish Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews luck in their future endeavors and will miss seeing them in the ballroom. It is currently unknown who will be replacing Tom and Erin, but be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things ABC!
