After the news last week about Epcot, Disney has branched off to do more testing that will restrict Fastpass+ usage this time in Hollywood Studios.  This test matches up with what Disney originally announced for FastPass+.  They are testing during a time where the Disney resorts are at some of the highest prices per night. This change will definitely make your day at Hollywood Studios a little less magical.

Those guests using Fastpass+ will be allowed to book only 1 headliner attraction and 2 other attractions per day.

Group 1: Headliners are:

Group 2:

As you can see from the groups, this means it will not be possible to hold a FastPass+ for both Toy Story Mania and Rock n Roller Coaster. The only option will be to use the standby line for one of these attractions. Those of you who already have FastPass+ setup will not be required to move into this test grouping unless you modify all of your existing selections.

  1. Just wanted to tell everyone not to bother with the Fantasmic Fastpass+ Reservation. When we where there in October I chose Fantasmic as one of our 3 Faspass+ selections. We were told to show up at a certain time before the show began. We rushed over, got there at our early scheduled arrival time & were told by the CM find a spot to sit in the hoard of other people. They told us that all Fastpass+ did was guarantee us a seat, but not where we sat. So if we would have just shown up at that exact time without our Fastpass+ we would have still be sitting were we sat, near the front row, but over to the side of the seating area. So just an FYI to all… don’t waste a Fastpass+ reservation on Fantasmic. IF you really want to have good seats either do the meal package with one of the participating restaurants or show up really early to the show.

  2. they should do something about it, it’s ridiculous if you live local and have an annual pass and get to the parks at opening and within 30 minutes all the fast passes are gone! Disney needs to respect guests of all circumstances and variety and not everyone can stay on property in order to get a FP. There are people that pay just as much money on the various properties that don’t stay on property as though that do, no one should be punished just because they don’t stay on property. The locals and annual pass holders are a big base for the income Disney gets so they shouldn’t be excluded or there will be many who say why bother and why renew my pass if I get absolutely no benefit! The answer is produce more paper fast passes and make them available throughout the day or you have to offer the magic band to all your guest that way everyone is treated equal.

  3. Exactly, Diane. Since I’m not in or close to the disabled community, I’m not hearing much of the comments myself. However, I know the more people who email or call them with the same complaint, the more they listen. Get on the forums in the community, ask for an email campaign, provide the contact info, and get the ball rolling. Disney cancelled the EMH program 15 years ago (or so), and after a concerted campaign among the Disney fans, they brought them back, even more extended than before. If you tell me more about the problems, I’d be happy to join your campaign!

  4. disney responds to guest complaints? really??? they have been listening to any of the guests in the disabled community with regard to the DAS. I think its alarming that a company known world wide for outstanding customer service seems to have forgotten that providing that outstanding customer service is just one of the many reasons so many people are so dedicated to Disney.

  5. this stinks. If there is still the possibility to grab a regular FP, fine, but otherwise, Disney is getting worse than the competitors. If I had FP+, I’d be screaming bloody murder. Those of you who are restricted in this way, LET DISNEY KNOW. They respond to guest complaints! My DH & I helped start a movement to bring back Extra Magic Hours, so don’t suffer in silence or just pitch fits on your forums. TELL Disney!
