Hercules is leaving The Big Olive and headed to The Big Apple. A musical version of the popular 90’s Disney Film may be on its way to Broadway! The musical was featured last summer in New York City by The Public Theater, who partnered with Disney Theatrical Productions and together, with a new book by Kristoffer Diaz and direction from Thomas Schumacher, created a stage adaption of the beloved film. Hercules the Musical will feature new music composed by Disney Legend Alan Menken and David Zippel.

With the cancellation of Frozen on Broadway it is likely that Hercules will take its place at the St. James Theatre in New York City. It is currently unknown if the original cast from the summer production by The Public Theater will reprise their roles once the musical makes its Broadway debut. An opening date has yet to be announced by Disney.
