For decades, Halloween Horror Nights fans have clamored for Pinhead and the Cenobites to make their long-awaited debut. It turns out fans weren’t the only ones hoping it would happen. Halloween Horror Nights Creative Director Mike Aiello celebrated the announcement on social media, writing, “After years of trying… finally!” That simple post suggests Universal’s creative team has also spent years working behind the scenes to secure the rights to Clive Barker’s legendary horror franchise, making this announcement just as satisfying for the creators as it is for fans.

The haunted house will pull inspiration from the first three films, Hellraiser, Hellbound: Hellraiser II, and Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth. Guests will begin their terrifying journey by solving the infamous Lament Configuration puzzle box, unknowingly opening a gateway into the Cenobites’ horrifying dimension. Along the way, they’ll encounter iconic locations, including Frank Cotton’s attic, the disturbing Channard Institute, and, ultimately, The Labyrinth, where Pinhead and his followers await new souls to torment for eternity.

Making the experience even more authentic, legendary Pinhead actor Doug Bradley returns to voice the character in both the Orlando and Hollywood versions of the haunted house, marking another major win for longtime fans of the franchise.

Universal has also released limited-edition Hellraiser merchandise, including a themed T-shirt and a Pinhead acrylic figure that can be added to the separately sold Infernal Carnival collectible display. The announcement leaves just a handful of haunted houses still waiting to be revealed as anticipation continues to build for what is shaping up to be one of the biggest Halloween Horror Nights lineups in recent memory.

Halloween Horror Nights 35 runs on select nights from August 28 through November 1 at Universal Studios Florida. Tickets, including single-night admission and vacation packages, are on sale now, with additional event announcements expected in the coming weeks.
