Actor Hayden Christensen will reprise the role of Anakin Skywalker, also known as Darth Vader, in Ahsoka, the latest Star Wars live-action series from Lucasfilm and Disney+.
Rosario Dawson is starring as the fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano, who is quite popular on the animation side of Star Wars. Ahsoka is the former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker and made her live action debut in the second season of The Mandalorian. Production is set to commence on Ahsoka in early 2022, aiming at a 2023 release.

The upcoming limited series is written by Dave Filoni and executive produced by Filoni and Jon Favreau.
It is unclear how Anakin Skywalker will figure into Ahsoka, which, like Mandalorian, is set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi. But given the timeline, it’s possible Anakin will either appear digitally de-aged in flashbacks or as a Force ghost.
But wait, there’s more! Hayden is also returning to play Anakin Skywalker in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
It’s been almost 17 years since we last saw him as Anakin Skywalker in the 2005 Revenge of the Sith movie. So far, Hayden is being cryptic about what fans can expect to see with Darth Vader in the Kenobi series. We know we look forward to seeing him return to the live action adventures!
