Ryan Gosling is about to make a come back to the Disney scene in the new movie based on one of the all time favorite attractions at the parks, The Haunted Mansion. Guillermo del Toro has been working on the project for a few years since it was first announced at the San Diego Comic Con in 2010.
The movie script being written by D.V. DeVincentis will have a bit of a twist on the 2003, Eddie Murphy version which was not popular with fans and critics. Del Toro’s creativity gives the movie a huge chance to come out and rise to the top. Del Toro shared that several drafts have been submitted by the writing teams looking for the perfect screenplay to bring the scary but fun ride to the big screen. For now the combination of Del Toro and Gosling is a great start.

When I heard that Guillermo Del Toro was going to do the “definitive” and correct version of the Haunted Mansion, I knew it was going to be a special film. He will maintain the integrity of the attraction that all of us Disney-philes want, while making it creepy and fun. Cannot wait! Ryan Gosling is a wonderful addition to the final product.
