Harrison Ford to Pass the Whip & Fedora to Phoebe Waller-Bridge in ‘Indiana Jones 5‘. Lucasfilm will be expanding the Indiana Jones franchise with the passing of the torch, along with the iconic whip and fedora, from Harrison Ford to Indiana Jones newcomer Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Though Waller-Bridge’s character details have been kept tightly under wraps we do know that Phoebe will join Harrison Ford’s Dr. Jones as his assistant and/or sidekick.

Currently, the cast includes Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Solo: A Star Wars Story), Mads Mikkelsen (Doctor Strange, Hannibal), Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl), Shaunette Renée Wilson (The Resident), Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger), Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Nasser Memarzia (The Kite Runner) and Harrison Ford, returning to the role of the legendary hero archaeologist, for the fifth installment of the iconic franchise.

The new film will reportedly take place takes place in the late 1960s and will pin Ford’s Dr. Indiana Jones against Mads Mikkelsen’s unnamed villain who is a former Nazi scientist, now working for NASA. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Company for updates and all things Lucasfilm!
