Fans of Captain Marvel know that it’s lucky to have her Companion Goose around! Now we can have some of that good luck too with the fun Goose Fortune Cat statues now available at the Disney Parks. Although I suppose we should call it a Fortune Flerken, since that’s no cat!
The new Goose statue, is based on the Maneki-Neko statues from Japan. Maneki-Neko means beckoning cat in Japanese, and they are a common Japanese figurine seen as a lucky charm, that is often believed to bring good luck to the owner. The Goose version really is an adorable take on that tradition! Just like Goose from the movie this figure is an orange tabby. Like a lot of modern Fortune Cats, Goose’s paw moves slowly back and forth. While it may look like waving, the fortune cats are actually beckoning!
The Goose Fortune statue is available throughout the Disney Parks, and retails for $22.99! As a huge fan of both Captain Marvel, and Maneki-Neko statues, this is definitely on my list of must haves!
