For a new engagement, the critically acclaimed Rodgers and Hammerstein’s duo is bringing “Cinderella” to Broadway. Previews begin January 21, 2013 and Opening Night is February 21, 2013.  To learn more about this exciting show read on to hear what it is being billed with:

This season’s Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella marks the Broadway premiere for the celebrated musical, which was written for television in 1957 by the legendary musical theatre duo.

Mr. Beane’s book for Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” offers a new romantic twist on the ultimate makeover story of a maid-turned-princess, mixing fresh comedy and wit with the beloved tale’s classic elements’  – the pumpkin, glass slipper, masked ball and more.

In addition to musical numbers from the original score, there will also be songs from the duo’s back catalogue.

I am so excited to have a chance to see this Broadway show, mixing Disney and Broadway has been successful in the past with such beloved shows as “The Lion King” and “Mary Poppins” I am sure “Cinderella” will be a wonderful time.
