A year ago, nearly to the day, Carano was publically fired by Lucasfilm and Disney for stating in a social media post that being a Republican in this day and age was comparable to being Jewish during the Holocaust. There is no denying that the comment was ignorant and wrong, but Gina Carano has refused to apologize for calling out the treatment of people based on their political beliefs.

Carano is notably not calling for Disney (ABC News parent company) to fire Goldberg for her comments, but she is calling out Disney for the “double standard” in a recent social media post that simply read, “Two weeks to slow the double standards.” and followed up her post sharing her support for the Jewish community and stating she firmly believes in “conversation over cancellation.” regarding how controversial comments are handled in entertainment media.

The wording of this article is disingenuous at best and flatly wrong at worst. Gina did not compare being Jewish in the Holocaust to being Republican today. Her comment was about how even their neighbors were turning in friends to the SS guard. Get your facts straight.
