Darth Jar Jar Rises: Fortnite’s Epic Star Wars Season Kicks Off May 2!
Fortnite is leveling up to intergalactic status this May with a Star Wars collaboration like no other — and yes, Darth Jar Jar is finally real.
Revealed live at Star Wars Celebration Japan, Fortnite: Galactic Battle launches on May 2, 2025, bringing an all-new five-part Star Wars saga to the Fortnite Battle Royale universe. The crossover kicks off just in time for Star Wars Day (May the 4th) and promises weekly gameplay updates through early June.

What can players expect?
✨ A Star Wars-themed Battle Pass packed with iconic characters like Emperor Palpatine and wild mashups like Wookiee Cuddle Team Leader
⚡ Force Lightning — a new in-game Force ability, as seen from the newly imagined Darth Jar Jar himself
🚀 Pilot and co-pilot X-wings and TIE fighters
🌌 Themed map locations and a narrative that evolves each week
🛒 New Item Shop drops, including Jedi legend Mace Windu
Each week unlocks a new chapter:
- May 2 – Imperial Takeover
- May 8 – The Pull of the Force
- May 22 – Mandalorian Rising
- May 29 – Star Destroyer Bombardment
- June 7 – Death Star Sabotage
The season will culminate in an epic live in-game event sure to shake up the galaxy—and your Victory Royale strategy.
With Darth Jar Jar in the mix and cosplaying Wookiees leading the charge at Star Wars Celebration, Fortnite is fully embracing the weird, wonderful, and wildly powerful world of Star Wars.
