First Look at Disney Destiny Cask & Cannon Bar and New Pirates Merchandise for Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line has shared new details about the Cask & Cannon bar and a first look at exclusive pirates merchandise that will be available on the new Disney Destiny. These announcements were made during Destination D23, offering a peek into the ship’s intricate “Heroes & Villains” theme.
The Cask & Cannon bar is a pirate-themed tavern designed to immerse guests in a world of treasures and tales. The space is decorated to evoke the interior of a pirate ship, complete with wooden planks, mismatched furniture, and antiques. Throughout the venue, guests will find nautical motifs and pirate iconography, from treasure maps and fishing nets to rum bottles and skull-and-crossbones insignias.

There are numerous nods to the classic Pirates of the Caribbean attractions and films, including intricate carvings on the portholes that resemble a charred wood look from the attraction’s burning village scene. The bar front is made of stacked treasure chests, drawing inspiration from the treasure rooms in the films. The venue also features a set of thirteen drawers filled with treasure maps, each representing a different global Disney park and attraction.
One of the most notable design elements is a fantastical treasure map of the Caribbean Sea, inspired by original artwork from legendary Disney artist Marc Davis, which is specially featured on the ceiling. This map has been modified to include seven pirate ships, representing the number of ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet with the Disney Destiny joining as the seventh. On the floor below, the carpet design features each of the pirate lords’ Pieces of Eight as well as Captain Jack Sparrow’s compass.
New Pirates Merchandise on the Disney Destiny
For guests who find themselves captivated by the pirate’s life at Cask & Cannon, an all-new merchandise collection will debut aboard the Disney Destiny. This swashbuckling assortment will offer a variety of one-of-a-kind items, including bar tools, novelty drinkware, adult apparel, and an adventure-ready tote bag. The merchandise will be available while supplies last, providing a unique souvenir to commemorate a trip on the new ship.
The Disney Destiny is set to depart on its maiden voyage on November 20 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, beginning its inaugural season of cruises.
