A few days ago, I wrote about Walt Disney World’s plan to crack down on guests abusing the FastPass+ system. Well today Disney World implemented their “In-Park Validation” which will flag guests trying to cheat the FastPass+ system, and lock them out of the My Disney Experience app.
With “In-Park Validation” Disney is now able to more strictly enforce their FastPass+ rules. The new validation system will prevent guests from using expired park passes, or friends park tickets, to book extra FastPasses at the in-park kiosks. This is a direct response to the widespread abuse of one of Disney’s current FastPass rules: The valid theme park admission associated with your Site/App account and used to make FastPass+ selections must be the same valid theme park admission you will use for entry into the park on the day the FastPass+ selections are redeemed.
Cast Members working the FastPass lines, for Disney World attractions, will receive a notification showing an attempt to abuse the system when a guest scans a ticket that was not used to enter the park that day. This will result in the guest being denied access to the attraction through the FastPass line. Continued attempts to cheat the system will result in being locked out of your My Disney Experience app. Guests feeling they’ve been locked out in error, may visit Guest Relations to reverse the lockout.
