Fans Want Sebastian Stan to Star in a Young ‘Luke Skywalker’ Disney+ Series. Star Wars fans have been over the moon this week after the premiere of the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian. The finale, titled Chapter 16: The Rescue, saw The Mandalorian debut of Luke Skywalker who answered Grogu’s call through the force on Tython.
Over the years, fans have pointed out that Avengers star, Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), does bare a resemblance to a young Mark Hamill, causing many fans to hope that Stan would be cast in the role and allowing Lucasfilm to dive deeper into Luke’s story between the films, similarly to how The Clone Wars featured untold tales between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
Please note: There has been no confirmation by Lucasfilm or Disney+ about a Luke Skywalker series in the works, this is simply a rumor at this time. Many fans are very excited by the idea of. a young Luke Skywalker series, and with the expense of editing for a television series it would be too costly to put Mark Hamill back in the role for a series, so the studio would likely find another actor to play the part.
