Eileen Hightower along with her children Samuel Velasquez Jr, and Sabrina Velasquez of Kissimmee FL, accompanied by her niece Jennifer Cancel of Hartford Ct were recently sentenced to prison for theft and fraud. They were ordered to pay $107,000.00 in restitution for an identity theft scam involving stealing personal information and selling Walt Disney World tickets.

They previously pleaded guilty and were sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge G. Kendall Sharp to at least 3 years in federal prisonbut Hightower got an additional 10 months for her part in the scam.

The group stole personal information to obtain fake drivers licenses and credit cards, then they used those credit cards to buy Walt Disney World theme park tickets. Once purchased they sold the tickets to illegal ticket resalers in Kissimmee.

U.S. Attorney’s office said that in a few months more than $100,000.00 were bought and resold illegally.
