Experience American Kitchen Bar & Grill’s New Menu at the B Resort. We got a sneak peek at the brand new menu coming to American Kitchen Bar & Grill at the B Resort in the Disney Springs area of Walt Disney World Resorts. Executive Chef David Roldan Will be rolling out the new menu this September, and we are here to tell you from what we experienced that this is one of the best menu updates in the Disney Resorts area. Good enough for locals, but will be very pleasing to those vacationing and looking for a great spot to eat.

Inspired by his Puerto Rican roots, Chef David has cooked up a full revamp of the menu at American Kitchen Bar & Grill influenced by his grandmother who “put so much love into every sprinkle of seasoning that went into her dishes.” Looking to her tried-and-true techniques when seasoning, marinating, and curing his meats, the new menu truly embodies the restaurant’s “rustic-chic” atmosphere and brings together the flavors of his family table, both globally inspired and responsibly sourced.

We started with the wings, which personaly we felt like it had the right amount of char flavor and the buffalo was sweet and tangy and we really enjoyed them. The ribs were also fantastic, fall off the bone with the right amount of salt. (Soy Sauce can be a bit salty) and the BBQ flavor came through.

Pub Wings – House Buffalo Sauce, Tossed Then Lightly Grilled Mills Ave

Ribs – Sweet Soy BBQ Sauce, Toasted Sesame Seeds

Our next course was the hand held, burger selection. The Hot Dog with the tropical relish was almost the perfect hot dog, with a great beef flavor. While the burger was delicious, still was just a hamburger. Good flavor and whatever the sauce is tasted good. The stand out is the Pittsburgh. Being from PA ourselves, throw fries on a sandwich and we are happy.

AK Burger – 10oz Certified Angus Beef, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Crisp Lettuce, Ripe Tomato
Smoked Cheddar Cheese, Burger Sauce, Toasted Challah Bread

The Pittsburg – Pastrami, Melted Swiss Cheese, Thousand Island Spread, House Slaw, Fries Served On Thick Cut Toasted Challah Bread

The Angus Dog – 1lb Angus Beef Frank, Tropical Relish, Calypso Sauce, Toasted Hoagie

So dinner is where the new menu stands out. Our Tomahawk Steak was cooked to perfetion, and served on top of homemade mashed potatos was just a simple pleasure. Restaurants can mess up a simple dish like this, but not American Kitchen. The potatos were pefrection, with the steak having a good spice that blended well.

The chicken was chicken, good, not dry, flavorful. The stand out though is the Pork Chop, that glaze could be sold in a jar at the grocery store and we would put that stuff on anything! The chop was juicy, and soft and so good. I wish I had a better descitpion, but dang was that good. The flavor of the pork itself worked so well with the apple glaze, with a hint of cinnomon, it was nearly a perfect dish.

Spiked Cider Brined Pork Chop – Granny Smith Apple Glaze, Sweet Potato Fries

Desert is always a highlight of going out to eat, and American Kitchen did not let us down. The Earthquake was like eating a brownie, with a cake, with more chocolate that we could almost handle. Truly a well done desert, and we want to mention the Gelato is dang near the best we have had, which is sourced locally to central Florida (now only if we could find out where).

Vermillion Layer Cake – Red Velvet Cake Topped With Vanilla Custard
Earthquake Cake (Shareable Portion) – Chocolate Overload!! Snickers Pieces, Chocolate Ganache, White Chocolate Drizzle, Caramel Gelato
