With all Disney parks closed there are rumors that once Walt Disney World theme parks reopen they will start launching virtual queues (like how Rise of the Resistance works) to limit time spent in line. While these are just rumors and speculation as of now there’s been a new feature added quietly onto the My Disney Experience App.
The new addition is “My Queues”. You can find it by trying to join a boarding group for ROTR. It then takes you to an area that says “My Queues”. This has us believing that Disney will enforce more virtual queues for rides that typically have long wait times so that there will not be a lot of people standing in an actual line waiting. There hasn’t been a confirmation of this yet but the spot is there for it on the My Disney Experience app.
It will be interesting to see how Disney reopens its theme parks. If it will be opened in waves or all at once. The virtual queues would help with some line control. We will continue to keep a look out on the virtual queues and any news of when the parks will be reopening.
