Disney has launched an exciting new range of adaptive role play offerings! The new Disney Adaptive Roleplay Collection has design features that will allow fans who use wheelchairs and have other accessibility needs to transform into some of their favorite characters! I for one have to say thank you, Disney!!
Currently, the new collection includes three character dress-up costumes and also two wheelchair cover costumes. The costumes are designed with stretch fabric that opens in the back for easier dressing. They also have longer lengths for wheelchair-friendly wear. Plus a discreet flap opening on the front center with self-stick fabric closure to accommodate tube access.
I love that the Incredibles costume can also work for any of the Parr family costumes too.
The wheelchair cover sets fit standard wheelchairs (24-inch wheels) and also come with supportive plastic piping pieces for added stability. There are also long self-stick fabric strips to help keep the pieces in place.
