ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. Forming Joint Streaming Sports Service in the U.S.

ESPN, FOX, and Warner Bros. Discovery are joining forces to create an innovative streaming sports service set to launch in the fall of 2024. This collaboration, subject to final agreements, will establish a new Joint Venture (JV) that brings together the extensive sports portfolios, direct-to-consumer (DTC) services, and sports rights of these prominent media companies.

Under the proposed pay service, fans can expect a comprehensive sports content lineup, encompassing major professional sports leagues and college sports. The service is designed to cater to sports enthusiasts, delivering a unique and engaging experience, particularly for those seeking alternatives to traditional pay-TV bundles.

Scheduled for release via a new app, subscribers will not only gain access to a wide array of linear sports networks, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ABC, FOX, FS1, FS2, BTN, TNT, TBS, truTV, but also ESPN+. The platform aims to offer a focused, all-in-one premier sports service that goes beyond conventional offerings, providing fans with a dynamic and differentiated sports-watching experience.


Moreover, subscribers will have the flexibility to bundle this sports service with popular streaming platforms like Disney+, Hulu, and/or Max. The collaboration between ESPN, FOX, and Warner Bros. Discovery aims to create a one-stop destination for sports content, enhancing the accessibility and enjoyment for fans across the United States.
