When you want to eat at Walt Disney World, there can be no better option than Epcot. Maybe it’s because you don’t really have to choose what kind of food you want and can instead have some of several types of cuisine. No matter what you end up eating though, you know you’re going to be craving Chinese food at some point! This is why we are sad to see that the China pavilion’s Quick Service restaurant Lotus Blossom Cafe will be closing starting January 11th, 2021.
A tasty and cheap option for families who aren’t looking to linger over lunch, Lotus Blossom Cafe doesn’t let their casual take influence their flavor. With egg rolls, potstickers, orange chicken, fried rice, and my personal favorite lychee ice cream, there’s a lot to indulge in! Believe it or not, you won’t miss fancy dining when the food is this good. And you’ll still have plenty of time to get in line for Frozen afterward!
Lotus Blossom Cafe had reopened in October, even if only on the weekends. The restaurant resumed weekday operations to accommodate holiday crowds, but that won’t last long. They will close their doors again on January 11th, with no news on when they will reopen permanently.
If you’re planning a trip to Epcot in the next few weeks, step in and take advantage of the delicious offerings at the Lotus Blossom Cafe. And don’t forget to order some Lychee Ice Cream for dessert!
