Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Expects ‘Jungle Cruise’ Release To Be Delayed. According to ScreenRant, actor Dwayne Johnson believes his new Disney film, Jungle Cruise will have a rescheduled theatrical release due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Disney’s Jungle Cruise is a film based on the Disney Park attraction by the same name, where a small riverboat takes a group of travelers through a jungle filled with dangerous animals and reptiles, as they venture into the Amazon in search of a mystical tree with healing powers. The film stars Emily Blunt (Lily Houghton), Dwayne Johnson (Frank), and Jack Whitehall (McGregor).
Jungle Cruise is currently set to release on July 24, 2020. It is assumed the film will be pushed back to make way for postponed theatrical releases for other Disney related titles such as Marvel Studios’ Black Widow and Disney’s Mulan.
