Moana brings us the story of a young girl (Moana Waialiki) in Oceania, 2000 years earlier, on the quest to complete her parents’ wish to find a fabled island in the Pacific Ocean.   Moana, the only daughter of a chief takes off on the adventure of a lifetime.  Along the way she will meet spirits and demi-gods from mythology including her hero, legendary demi-god, Maui (Dwayne Johnson).

Moana, the animated musical will give fans a chance to hear the Rock singing and bring us new characters to love.   Mark Mancina brings his expertise to the film and new music to add to our Disney collection.   John Musker and Ron Clements, who brought us The Little Mermaid and Aladdin) along with Taika Waititi (Actor and Screenwriter) are co-writing and directing.
