As Captain Marvel is set to hit theaters soon to save Earth from a galactic battle, Dole is set to celebrate female superheroes closer to home. Dole is acknowledging women in our communities who have a strong influence in food, health, and wellness, and well as nonprofit groups geared towards creating a healthier world. Powering the Hero Within (#DoleHero) is a 10-week empowered living collaboration between Dole and Captain Marvel.
Leading the way with the new health initiative over the years are:
Abigail Adams – the first American First Lady to farm
Christine Moseley – founder and CEO of Full Harvest
Peggy Shriver – chief development officer of Rise Against Hunger
Johanna Sylvester and Jessi Greenlee – executive director and director of operations of Movement Foundation
Elizabeth Kunz – CEO of Girls on the Run International
Launching February 25 and continuing through May 5th, the 10-week program mixes high powered bloggers, partnerships with special recipes, and original recipes by Dole, created by registered dietitians. The goal is to address health and wellness needs.

Keep an eye out at your local grocery stores for the Marvel and Dole partnership In your produce isles. Captain Marvel-inspired DOLE banana stickers and DOLE pineapple hang tags featuring Captain Marvel, Nick Fury, Mar-Vell, Talos, and Goose the Cat will be hitting the stores soon.
Dole is excited to honor Captain Marvel as the first female superhero to headline her own film, and to celebrate women everywhere who use their powers daily. Topping list of local superheroes is female farmers, doctors, nurses, chefs, scientists, engineers, chefs, philanthropists, and all women who have dedicated and sacrificed over the years to give us a more fulfilling life.
The recipes above look delicious. I have a few superheroes in my house who would love most of these recipes, especially if they come with increased superpowers.
