Dive into the DuckTales: Remastered Money Bin

Ducktales Remastered

I don’t know about some of you out there, but I love ‘Ducktales’. I grew up on the cartoon on the Disney Afternoons in the early 1990’s, and played the games back on my Nintendo Gameboy for years and years. It was one of one my all time favorite games, so I couldn’t be more excited that the game is returning in ‘Ducktales: Remastered’. In honor of the game’s launch, iam8Bit and Capcom have partnered together for a pretty cool event in LA, which gives you a chance to dive into Uncle Scrooge’s Money Bin. This is going to be a dream come true for some fans, so hit the jump for the full press release to find out where you can go to see Scrooge’s Money Vault!

Are you fond of money, burrowing through it, swimming laps in it, and tossing coins into the air mirthfully only to let them fall upon your head ‹ all without injury? Beginning June 7 in LA, DuckTales and videogame fans can head to iam8bit Entertainment System to dive into a life-size recreation of Uncle Scrooge McDuck’s magnificent Money Bin.

iam8bit and Capcom collaborated to fulfill fans’ wildest DuckTales dreams in the form of a totally swimmable pool of Scrooge’s “liquid assets.” Hundreds of oversized gold coins, gems and even the Green Cheese of Longevity will be amongst the treasures attendees can wade in, all contained in a massive, 10-by-10 foot structure.

The installation celebrates Capcom’s upcoming videogame DuckTales: Remastered, which follows the adventures of Scrooge McDuck as he explores differently themed worlds to collect their treasures and become the world’s richest duck. All of the visuals from the 8-bit game have been beautifully re-created as hand-drawn and animated sprites, across a backdrop of luscious, re-envisioned level backgrounds. DuckTales: Remastered will be released digitally on Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360, PlayStation Network for the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system, and in the Nintendo Wii U eShop this summer.
