Earlier we announced that Disney’s Polynesian Resort will be going under a big refurbishment until next year, closing part of the resort and ceremonial house. Well now their monorail station will also be close for 8 months.
Starting November 2, 2020 and until summer 2021, guests staying at the Villas and Bungalows during this time will have to use other types of transportation to go around the Walt Disney World Resort.
There will be 4 direct buses to the theme parks plus a watercraft to the Magic Kingdom. If they prefer, a walkway to the Ticket and Transportation Center will also be available to take the Monorail form there.
The monorail will continue to travel through the station during these renovations but not stopping.
So if you are staying at the Polynesian during these months, be sure to plan ahead!
