Did you tune in for Disney Night on American Idol last night?  If so you probably got to hear Disney’s D Cappella perform.

Disney Music Group’s new a cappella singing sensation, D Cappella is pretty fantastic. As a group they delight listeners with favorite Disney Classics from tales like “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Lion King” and many more. The group is made up of seven performers (ANTONIO FERNANDEZ, JOE SANTONI, MORGAN KEENE, ORLANDO DIXON, RJ WOESSNER, SHELLEY REGNER, SOJOURNER BROWN) and Deke Sharon serves as music director, arranger and artistic producer.

Voice Part:  Vocal Percussion

  • Has been performing for the last 15 years
  • Three-time award winner for the A Cappella category in the 2016 Independent Music Awards in collaboration with Deejay Young on their original song “Box”

Voice Part: Bass

  • Has been performing for the past 12 to 13 years
  • Performed Zelda, Symphony of Goddesses with the LA Choral Lab to a sold out crowd at the Dolby Theater
  • His favorite songs to perform a cappella are “The Hymn of Acxiom” by Vienna Teng and “My Heart With You” by The Rescues
  • His favorite Disney songs are “I’ll Make A Man Out Of You” Mulan, “When She Loved Me” Toy Story 2, “Circle of Life” Lion King, “When You Wish Upon a Star” Pinocchio

Voice Part: Soprano

  • Has been performing for 11 years
  • National tour of “Newsies” for 1.5 years (Katherine)
  • Gold medal/Classical Voice at Musicfest Northwest
  • Her favorite song to perform a cappella is “Lucky” from Floyd Collins, the musical
  • Her favorite Disney song is “Someday My Prince Will Come”

Voice Part: Baritone

  • Has performed professionally for 11 years, singing for 19 years
  • Finalist on The Voice
  • Composer Billboard Top 20 Song
  • Performed with One Republic, Jason Derulo, and Zac Brown Band
  • His favorite song to perform a cappella is “Knock Me Off My Feet” by Stevie Wonder
  • His favorite Disney song is “A Whole New World”

Voice Part: Tenor

  • Has been performing professionally for 8 years, singing for 17 years
  • Member of ‘Vocalosity’; and ‘Pitch Slapped’ at Berklee College of Music
  • Performed with Jim Carrey on Saturday Night Live
  • His favorite song to perform a cappella is anything by Boyz II Men
  • His favorite Disney song is “The Circle of Life” from The Lion King

Voice Part: Mezzo

  • Grew up singing in choir
  • Began her a cappella career in Pitch Perfect, and went on to star in all three installments as “Ashley”
  • Doesn’t have a favorite song to sing a cappella, but does like to sing the more upbeat pop songs when the percussion can jam and everyone is vibing to the beat
  • Her favorite Disney song is “Candle on the Water” Pete’s Dragon

Voice Part: Alto

  • Has been performing for 18 years
  • Performed at the 2017 Tony Awards
  • Was a member of APC Rhythm a cappella group
  • NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate
  • Her favorite song to perform a cappella is “What I’m Doing Here” by Lake Street Dive, or anything by Lianne La Havas
  • Her favorite Disney song is “You’ll Be In My Heart” from Tarzan
